Applying online through the Passport Seva Portal is often the most streamlined method. Below are the general steps:
Visit the Passport Seva Portal: Go to https://portal2.passportindia.gov.in/ and log in with your existing account. If you don’t have one, create a new account using your email ID and mobile number.
While creating new account, It will ask for other information, like your name, date of birth, email and to setup a Hint question (in-case you forgot the password).

Self-Declaration: Carefully read the self declaration and provide your consent and mark a “Yes” to “I Agree” if you agree and then click “Preview PCC Form”
Also select a city where you want to get the appointment.
A preview of your application will be opened, carefully review your application (example shown in picture below) and click “Pay Challan”
A screen will appear, to select your appointment slot as shown below, Select the appointment slot that suits you best and click next.
Pay the Fee Online: The PCC fee Rs. 500, and you can pay using net banking, credit/debit card, or other available online payment methods such as UPI.
For Example: If you use UPI, you will enter your UPI number and a notification will be sent to your mobile, when you Approve from your mobile, the fee will be paid.
Click “confirm” that the payment is made, it will ask you to print the Application, it will be used on your appointment day.
Visit the PSK/POPSK on the Appointment Date: Carry the original documents and a printout of your Application Reference Number (ARN) receipt.
